Technical information / description
Gravel bikes and gravel riders have now evolved in many
different directions. With the Advanced SL X.R. 36 gravel wheelset in
carbon, we are expanding our off-road wheel line. On the one hand for
all gravel bikes with racing genes that like to switch between tarmac,
dirt and gravel paths at speed and on the other hand for all those who
want to give their gravel bike more style with a 36 millimetre
high-profile carbon rim.
While our X.R. 25 wheelset (optionally with aluminium or carbon rims) is
the first choice for touring riders, bikepackers and all gravel bikers
for whom low weight and maximum riding comfort are top priorities, the
Advanced SL X.R. 36 carbon set is designed for performance. The
increased stiffness of the carbon rim is immediately noticeable with
every acceleration and in the agility of the bike. The lightweight
hookless carbon rim is also significantly more aerodynamic and faster
than flat profiles. The robust, 24 mm wide rims harmonise perfectly with
the widths of modern gravel tires. Despite a maximum system weight of
130 kg, the modern gravel set weighs just 1390 grams. Our unique,
integrated STREEM Aero valve is also used on the X.R.36. A visual
highlight, the valve is completely hidden in the rim and works with a
tubeless setup as well as with a classic inner tube.
Every Advanced SL X.R.36 gravel wheel comes with a complete Streem Aero
valve kit, pre-installed tubeless rim tape and Milkit tubeless sealant.
